हल्दी( हरिद्रा)
Latin name: curcuma longa
परिचय:
हल्दी से सभी परिचित हैं। भारतीय ग्रहणीयों के रसोईघर में प्रयोग होने वाले मसालों में हल्दी अपना विशिष्ट स्थान रखती है। सच तो यह है कि कोई भी मांगलिक कार्य बिना हल्दी के पूरा नहीं होता । सौंदर्य प्रसाधनों में भी इसका जबरदस्त इस्तेमाल होता है। हल्दी की कई प्रजातियां पाई जाती हैं।
- Curcuma longa: मसालों में इसका प्रयोग करते हैं।
- Curcuma aromatica-mango ginger-इसके कंद और पत्तों की गंध कर्पूर मिश्रित आम्र गंध की तरह होती है। इसलिए इससे आमाहल्दी कहा जाता है।
- Curcuma zedoaria(वन हरिद्रा): यह बंगाल में बहुत पाई जाती है। यह रंगने के काम आती है। इसको जंगली हल्दी भी कहते हैं।
- Berberis aristata(दारूहल्दी): यह हल्दी के समान गुनवाली है। इसके क्वाथ में बराबर का दूध डालकर पकाते हैं , जब वह चतुर्थांश रहकर गाढ़ा हो जाता है तब उससे उतार लेते हैं इसी को रसौत कहते हैं। यह नेत्रों के लिए परम हितकारी है।
औषधीय प्रयोग:
कामला(jaundice) :
- कामला रोग में 12 ग्राम हल्दी का चूर्ण 50 ग्राम दही में मिलाकर सेवन करने से लाभ होता है।
- 6 ग्राम हल्दी को मट्ठे में मिलाकर दिन में 2 बार सेवन करने से कामला रोग में लाभ मिलता है।
खांसी(cough): खांसी में हल्दी को भूनकर इसका 1- 2 ग्राम चूर्ण मधु अथवा घी के साथ चटाने से लाभ होता है ।
पायरिया (pyorrhoea):सरसों का तेल, हल्दी तथा सेंधा नमक मिलाकर सुबह-शाम मसूड़ों पर लगाकर अच्छी प्रकार मालिश करने तथा बाद में गर्म पानी से कुल्ले करने पर मसूड़ों के सब प्रकार के रोग में लाभदायक है।
उदरशूल(stomache): इसकी जड़ की 10 ग्राम छाल को 250 ग्राम्स पानी में उबालकर गुड़ मिलाकर पिलाने से उदरशूल में लाभ मिलता है।
प्रमेह(clinical conditions involved in obesity, prediabetes, diabetes mellitus, and metabolic syndrome):
2-5 ग्राम हल्दी को आंवले के रस तथा मधु में मिलाकर प्रातः साए सेवन करने से सभी प्रकार के प्रमेहो में लाभ होता है।
प्रदर( leucorrhea):
- प्रदर में हल्दी का चूर्ण तथा गुगल का चूर्ण संभाग मिलाकर 5-10 ग्राम की मात्रा सुबह-शाम सेवन करने से लाभ होता है।
- प्रदर में हल्दी का चूर्ण दूध में उबालकर एवं गुड़ मिलाकर सेवन करने से लाभ होता है।
व्रण शोथ(wounds):चोट, मोच, व्रण एवं पुराने गांव पर हल्दी, चुना और सरसों का तेल मिलाकर लेप करने से बहुत ही लाभ होता है। चोट के कारण उत्पन्न शोथ ठीक हो जाता है।
